Hair relaxer does not cause breast cancer in black women
Young black women have a greater chance of developing breast cancer than their white counterparts and the search has been on to find out the reason why. Well for one thing, hair relaxer is not the problem. Many black women use hair relaxer to make their hair softer and more manageable. It was thought by some that this may be contributing to the increased breast cancer risk. Well, recent research involving thousands of black women across the U.S. has shown that this is not the case. This has to be good news for black women.
